Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS (Doctor Who): Review

Nice shot of the Doctor and Clara walking around the console. Works well. That bloody android voice does my head in. Fantastic effects. Though it's a very high budget. Nice shake at the start of the titles. Suits the episode. Matt can be very funny in this story. It's already great! Seeing them trying to crack the TARDIS doors open was great! Nice to see corridors of the TARDIS. It's also nice to see the Doctor closing the doors using a button on the console. Similar to the classic series.

Lovely room Clara goes in. First you see the Doctor's cot, used in A Good Man Goes to War, then a TARDIS toy that Amy made from The Eleventh Hour, and finally, the Seventh Doctor's umbrella. I'm glad that you don't see the zombies properly. They'd have ruined it, like they did in Hide. Funny bit where Clara runs past that telescope from Tooth and Claw.  Then the swimming pool, and then the Library. Then you hear the voices! Susan, Ben, Ace, the Fourth Doctor, the Ninth Doctor, Captain Jack, Ian and Martha. Lovely references. Surely that's all of them! It's not! A book about the Time War!

Okay, it's getting a little boring now. Haha! One of the men died! That's fantastic! It's already getting very complicated. Very difficult to understand. The Eye of Harmony? Why the feck is that there? I thought that it was destroyed, and they were relying on Rift Energy? Oh well.

Is it just me or does that double of Matt look nothing like him?! And that cloth thing that he's dusting with after. Similar to what Davison did in The Five Doctors.

So overall, I think this story's fantastic. I loved all of the references to previous episodes, but I wasn't too keen on the whole brothers plot. I'll give it an 8.7/10, and tomorrow's review will be Vengeance on Varos.
